Hand-built Dip Bowl Specialty Class In this hands-on ceramics class, participants will design and hand-build a functional bowl with an attached dipping bowl perfect for chips and salsa, veggies and hummus, or your favorite snack pairings. Using slab and pinch-building techniques, students will learn how to thoughtfully connect two forms into one cohesive, balanced piece. We’ll explore shaping, joining, and refining techniques, with guidance on proportion, texture, and surface decoration. This class is ideal for beginners as well as those looking to expand their handbuilding skills. Each participant will create one unique dip bowl set, ready for glazing and firing after the workshop. All materials are provided, and finished pieces will be food-safe and functional. Class includes : 2hr of Guidance and Instruction by one of our MIY teachers Two and a half pounds of clay, Two firings, One house glaze. *You have the option to come back and paint to make the horse more personalized for only $15.
