Discover the magic of dimensional glass art in this immersive two-session fused-glass workshop! In this hands-on class, you’ll explore full-fuse, tack-fuse, and slumping techniques to create a richly layered piece with striking depth and movement. Session 1: Full-Fused Background Begin by designing and constructing your background layer using colorful sheet glass, frit, stringers, and more. Your piece will be kiln-fired between sessions to create a smooth, fully fused surface ready for embellishment. Session 2: Tack-Fused Overlay Return to design a raised foreground element that “pops” from the background. Through tack fusing, your added shapes and textures will remain dimensional and tactile after firing, giving your artwork visual lift and character. Final Kiln Forming: Wave Slump After both firings, your piece will undergo a final slump into a graceful wave mold—further enhancing its 3D qualities and giving it a dynamic, sculptural presence.
