Color In Clear: Designing w transparent

Description

Explore how transparent glass can highlight light, depth, and negative space. Students will begin with a sheet of transparent colored glass and use pieces of clear glass to create a layered design that plays with light and openness. In the center, a collection of bright colors adds contrast and visual interest, allowing each student to develop a unique composition. Finished pieces can be slumped into a functional shape or kept flat for display on an easel as a distinctive decorative art piece. Prerequisite: Completion of an Introduction to Glass Fusing class or equivalent experience. The cost covers 2-hour classes, materials, firings, and instruction.
