Celebrate Chinese New Year: Create a Glass Wind Chime Celebrate the Chinese New Year by creating your own glass wind chime inspired by traditional and symbolic designs. In this class, you’ll be shown a variety of sample projects to spark your creativity, or you may design your own wind chime from scratch. Sample designs include a Chinese lantern, cherry blossoms, panda, and bamboo, with plenty of room for personal interpretation. Participants will work with a wide selection of glass to assemble a unique, hanging piece that reflects their individual style. Once completed, your wind chime will be kiln-fired and assembled after class. The cost covers a 2-hour class, all materials, kiln firings, and instruction. Finished wind chimes will be available for pickup at a later date.Brighten up your space with color and light! In this hands-on glass fusing workshop, you’ll design and create your own vibrant glass suncatchers—complete with built-in openings that make them perfect for hanging in a window or on the wall. Participants must have taken an Introduction to Glass Fusing class before enrolling, as this workshop builds on foundational cutting and fusing techniques. With guidance from the instructor, you’ll arrange and layer glass pieces to create unique patterns, textures, and designs that will transform into beautiful, light-catching art once kiln-fired. By the end of the class, you’ll have your own handcrafted fused glass suncatcher, ready to bring a pop of color and sparkle to your home or as a thoughtful handmade gift. The cost covers 2-hour classes, materials, firings, and instruction.
