It's been many years since our studio went out and held a booth at a crafts fair. And of course I remember the reason why 12 hours after the festival started, and my feet felt like they had been through a meat grinder, and my voice was raw and hoarse from too much yapping. The reason was they are so draining! They suck the life right out of you! Exhausting from the planning, to setting up, decorating the space, and just not sitting down because people have lots of questions and are so curious about what we do and offer! It was exhausting, but in an amazing way.
The families at the Orange Blossom festival were curious and inquisitive about our studio classes and so many of them had already come to visit us in the past! They loved that we were at the festival and lamented that we were so far away in East Hollywood. When we shared the dilemma of getting kicked, and how we are moving West, I could see joy light up in the eyes 100's, yes 100's! of people who were so excited to know that we would be getting much closer to them in our next chapter at MIY. That positivity, energy, and excitement from the people at the Orange Blossom festival is the right type of tonic to help us keep up the energy of moving forward with our plans to move West! --
