🔥 Keeping MIY Firing: Our Kiln Fundraiser Update

After the catastrophic failure of one of our primary kilns, the MIY community came together for a wonderful evening of food, drinks, art, and generosity at our Kiln Fundraiser Auction. Our heartfelt thanks go to our hardworking team, instructors, members, local businesses, and friends who donated artwork, services, private lessons, time, and winning bids. From pottery wheel and handbuilding experiences to glass fusing, mosaics, handmade one of a kind works of art, and even a massage or two, every contribution helped make the night special.

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, we have raised more than $4,350 through the auction and online donations so far! Our new, larger kiln has already been purchased, but the kiln itself, along with the electrical work and installation needed to safely get it up and running, is currently expected to cost more than $7,500 in total. We still have a little way to go, but we are getting closer every day.
