MIY Ceramics located in the City of Hollywood, FL, is an open studio and learning center for people interested in the fine arts of handmade pottery and glass fusing. We are a unique open playground for clay and glass enthusiasts, recreational potters and ceramics artists of all skill levels who come to our studio to make, learn, play with and shop for functional and decorative pottery, fused dichroic glass jewelry, glass artwork and slumped glass bottles.
The South Florida Council, BSA and MIY Ceramics offer a fun-filled, educational Pottery Activity Program to the youth members and leaders of all the Scouting units, volunteers, Scouters and BSA employees ( and to family members of these groups as well ) at reduced prices. 'The Pottery Experience' Field Trip
A brief lecture on the history of pottery and its tools, a tour of our studio facilities, a demonstration by our artists on handbuilding and wheel throwing pottery techniques and a 'hands-on' try out session for those that want to have some
fun. Price:

'On- site' Pottery Art Show

Pottery Merit Badge Clinic
This class is for Boy Scouts working on a Pottery Merit Badge. After successfully completing this class and finishing the pieces needed to qualify, our in-house Pottery Merit Badge Counselor will sign your blue card. Price: $35 / scout for instruction, use of studio facilities, clay,
glazes and firing of all the pieces. Length: 3 hrs. Contact

'Shape Clay into Pottery Party '
A creative way for family, friends or coworkers to spend quality time together, celebrate birthdays,

Hands-on Pottery Classes
Basic hand-building and wheel throwing pottery classes for adults and kids with no experience. Also advanced adult classes structured for in-depth learning. Price: children $90, teens / adults $100 for instruction, clay, glazes and firing of pieces made. Length: five 2 - hr sessions for children, four 3 -

Open Studio Access Plan
People that took our pottery classes or have pottery experience may join us and use our facilities to make their own artwork. Take advantage of our hobby membership plan to learn new skills and gain expertise from our group of talented artists. Price: $125 / month + $25 / clay bag for use of facilities, glazes and firings.
