Boy|Girl Scouts Badge Arts & Crafts Pottery|Glass Fusing classes
MIY Ceramics and Glass, located in South Florida, is an open arts & crafts studio and learning center for people interested in the fine arts of handmade pottery, ceramics painting, glass fusing & glass lampworking/beadmaking. We are a unique public playground for clay and glass enthusiasts, recreational potters and ceramics artists of all skill levels who come to our studio to make, learn, play with and shop for functional and decorative pottery, fused dichroic glass jewelry, glass artwork, glass beads and slumped glass bottles.
The South Florida Council, Boy Scouts of America and MIY Ceramics offer fun-filled, educational activities for Boy and Girl Scouts of all ages, council employees, volunteers as well as family members of these groups at discounted prices.
Merit Badge Clinic
This class is for Boy or Girl Scouts working on a Pottery Merit Badge. After successfully completing a class and making the pieces needed to qualify, our in-house Pottery Merit Badge Counselor will sign your blue card. Price: $45/attendee for instruction, use of studio facilities, clay and glazing/firing of all the pieces. Time: 3 hrs. Contact us to enroll.
Fun Arts and craft Classes
We teach clay|pottery arts & crafts ceramics classes and lampworking|flameworking hot glass torch beading art craft classes as well as warm glass fusing art craft fused jewelry artwork classes at our Hollywood, Florida arts and crafts studio

Pottery Field Trip
A brief lecture on the history
of pottery and its tools, a tour of our studio arts and crafts facilities, a
demonstration by our artists on hand building and wheel throwing pottery
techniques and a 'hands-on' tryout session for those that want to have
some fun. Price: $10/person for the session, clay and glazing/firing of the pieces made. Time 1 hr. Contact us to register.
On- site Pottery Party
Brief pottery making tutorial, demo by our artists on hand building and wheel throwing pottery techniques,
hands-on tryout sessions for those that want to have fun and a raffle
of hand made ceramic pieces. Price: $400 and up based on the distance to the location. Time: 4 - 5 hrs. Contact us to host a show for your next private party or Scouting event!
