Want to learn how to make functional and decorative ceramic pieces, revive old skills or gain new ones?   Our 'hands-on' teaching approach and helpful tips from our team of resident artists can do that for you. After taking a class, you may join our open studio program and use our facilities to make your own pottery. Try a class!

Mondays 7 - 10pm and Saturdays 1 - 4pm

• Basic Pottery - Handbuilding or Wheel Throwing
  In both classes you learn to handle clay, glazes and either basic handbuilding techniques like pinch, coil, slab... or wheel throwing skills such as centering, coning, pulling, shaping, etc. You also learn to make and attach separate finishing pieces like handles and knobs. The end result will be your very first glazed mug!
  Four 3 - hour sessions - $120.00 either course *

• Advanced Pottery - Handbuilding or Wheel Throwing
  The class is an extension of our Basic Pottery class designed to take you further into the 'clay experience' by teaching you how to
  make complex forms. Also great for people needing a refresher class. You will get to build an intricate glazed piece like a vase!
  Five 3 - hour sessions plus practice time - $160.00 either course *
