MIY Ceramics, located in South Florida, is an open studio and learning center for people interested in the fine arts of handmade ceramics and glass fusing. We are a unique playground for clay and glass enthusiasts, recreational potters and ceramic artists of all skill levels who come to our studio to make, learn, play with and shop for functional or decorative ceramics, dichroic glass jewelry and glass artwork. Open studio access program. It allows you to use our facilities to craft your own ceramics or glass work. The program will foster the development of your skills as you work and exchange glass fusing or pottery making tips with others. If you'd like to relax, meet other people that have 'clay or fusion in common' and be inspired by constant flow of artistic ideas, team up with our existing members.
Learn handbuilding and wheel throwing pottery or glass fusing at our studio. We offer classes for all skill levels to adults and kids. Our 'hands-on' teaching approach and tips from our resident artists make learning highly productive and enjoyable. Experience the satisfaction of making your own functional and decorative ceramics pieces and beautiful one-of-a-kind dichroic glass jewelry. No experience is required. Try one of our classes!
Party at our studio! We host adults and kids parties where folks relax and have fun as they make dichroic glass jewelry or shape "not just paint" clay into pottery. Playing with clay or glass is a creative way to spend quality time interacting with friends, coworkers, family members or your own kids. Call us to discuss ideas!

Our Origins
When Fire and Mud Ceramics Studio was surprisingly closed on 12/2006; the membership was devastated since this was their joy and the only open access pottery studio in South Florida. After some initial crying, kicking, screaming, and a crash course on how to license your own business, the members came up with the necessary funds to open a new studio and Make it Yourself - MIY Ceramics was born on April
2007. We have successfully recreated the magic of the old studio and are having fun again playing with brand new equipment and gizmos in a bigger, more comfortable facility. It's been a heck of a ride!
Location
Our studio is conveniently nestled halfway between Miami
and Ft Lauderdale, near Young Circle, in the City of Hollywood. It is located within walking distance of the downtown area where you can find a variety of art galleries, specialty shops and restaurants. Come and see us!Click on the map for directions
Parking Studio Hours of Operation
Access to our studio is very easy since we're on a ground floor and our main entrance faces the street. 
There is ample free parking across the street from the studio.
